Classification of Networks Based on Geographical Classification

               ***Classification of Networks Based on Geographical Classification***

                 In this section ,we will discuss the following categories of networks.

                                                PAN =(personal area network).
                                                LAN=(local area network).
                                                MAN=(metropolitan area network).
                                                WAN=(wide area network).
                                                CAN=(campus area network).
Ø  PAN = (personal area network) In general pan is used to connect the network in range area.
Pan is that we share the network to our friend, like mobile network, laptop network or PDA(personal digital assistant) pan allows to take communication to take place among these
 devices                (थोडक़यात असं श्रेत्र जे आपल़या मोबाईल, लॅपटॉप द़वारे तयार केले जाते.)
Area = above the device. 10 meters.
Data Speed = low.

Ø  LAN=(local area network)  a network that is usually a owned by a person for its office, building, campus, it also depends on need of the user. It can contain many computers or laptops in a company .it works as Ethernet also it is used to Document Distribution, Personal Computing, Electronic message handling, office automation.(लॅन हा एक लोकल श्रेत्रातील अती वपरातील स्त्रोत आहे.लॅन चा वेग खूप जास्त असतो)
Area=small. In office ,buildings.
Data Speed=high.

Ø  MAN=(metropolitan area network) “MAN” is network that interconnects users with the computer resources in a geographical area larger than  covered by a wide area network(WAN). MAN can be a single network or in the form of a big combination of LAN’s .MAN  is next level of LAN. (पूर्न शहराएवढे श्रेत्र व्यापन्यासाठी वापरले  जाते)
Area= Entire City. 10 km
Data Speed= moderate.

Ø  WAN = (wide area network) the biggest network that is at the wide level, used by everyonein the world. When large distance is occurred between the communication of computers then the WAN is used(विस्त्रूत क्षेत्र नेटवर्क)
Area = ststes or countries.   1000 km
Data Speed = moderate.

Ø  CAN=(campus area network)  the network that is used in campus, colony, or society,
The interconnection of LAN made to share the rosources at the limited area, this network equipments are switches, routers, optical fibers etc..

TELNET (Terminal Network)

TELNET Telnet is (Terminal Network) and it was proposed as a standard of TCP/IP protocol for a virtual terminal service. If any user want to establish a connection this TELNET helps to that user. You can also say it the advantage of TELNET. FEATURES OF TELNET:- 1) it has local or remote login, network virtual terminal and time sharing environment.   ð    REMOTE LOGIN = mainly internet and TCP (Transfer Control Protocol) have been designed to provide many services to user. If user wants to access an application program residing on remote computer. He can do it using TELNET.   ð    TIME SHARING ENVIRONMENT = 1 st this was developed or created when all the operating systems was operating on time sharing principle. And in the time sharing principle there is a large central computer which supports all the users.   ð    LOCAL LOGIN = login of user into the local time sharing system is called as “local login”. As Shown In Figure below… ...
